You have some experience acting as a Project Coordinator or supporting the Project Management Office in monitoring the progress of projects and providing administrative support over the entire project life.  You're looking for a way to take your career to the next step in an environment with a clear career track.  You have a proven track record of success running small projects (think PMO handbook definitions).  You love working with people to achieve your goals (and working with a group of great people!)

The Job:

  • Assists the Project Analyst in maintaining project budgets, providing internal distribution of financial information to evaluate profitability and performance of the project compared to budget
  • Assists the Project Analyst to investigate project variances, prepares variance reports to submit to management
  • Assists Project Managers with other reports or documentation as required
  • Assists Project Managers and PMO Support team with preparation of various weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports for Senior Management and Customers
  • Supports the Project Analyst to prepare project revenue calculations
  • "Small projects" work including:
  • Communicates with customers regarding project scope and schedule
  • Creates and manages project schedules and resources in P6
  • Manages project budget and hours
  • Manages project team through project life cycle, assigning tasks to engineering, purchasing and production teams
  • Reports internal and external stakeholders on progress of project
  • Attends engineering meetings as required for project
  • Delivers projects to schedule and scope within budget
  • Tracks invoices and payments from customer
  • Supports the organization in planning / scheduling and resource management of projects.

What You Bring:

  • Business-related university degree or college diploma and/or courses in accounting or business
  • Over four years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; highly accurate; detail and deadline oriented; strong skills in organizing and facilitating project plans; advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; ability to multi-task; working knowledge of general accounting software, MAS 500 would be an asset
  • Familiarity with project concepts, contracts, change order documents
  • *Must be eligible to obtain and maintain NATO secret security clearance throughout the employment period.
