The job:


Information Technology & Systems
  • Management of the information systems and computing environments for all of OSI’s staff and offices (Canada, UK, Australia, Poland and US)
  • Recommends a comprehensive and up to date technology infrastructure to support the organization
  • Develops and recommends a long-term strategy for information systems to support the company’s strategic objectives
  • Implementation of new technologies as agreed to in corporate planning process
  • Ensures an integrated approach focused on business solutions and a high level of service to stakeholders
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Manages supplier relationships to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases
  • Responsible for the maintenance of network and communication resources
  • Manages network services including: security, user accounts, server configuration, data backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning and obsolescence planning.
  • Manages effective utilization of outside communication resources including internet connections, phone and e-mail
  • Follow workplace operating and environmental, health, safety and procedure guidelines
  • Promotes a culture of high performance that values learning and a commitment to quality
 
Facilities and Administration
  • Perform project management, budgeting and financial reporting for facility modifications such as new facilities, remodels and relocations
  • People planning, capacity optimization, leasing, scalability, and location
  • Oversee the implementation and management of physical security at all corporate facilities
  • Ensure corporate health and safety and compliance
  • Management of corporate leases, including lease negotiation and operating permits
  • Evaluate and qualify contractors and vendors for facility projects
  • Develop the corporate facilities budget and manage expenditures accordingly
  • Manage/oversees the facility and admin support staff



You bring:

 
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years in a Management role, 5+ years of experience in a senior IT role plus 1 year of experience managing a portfolio of facilities.
  • Experience leading the evaluation, implementation and support of new technology
  • Extensive knowledge of IT systems hardware, software applications, products and solutions
  • Familiarity with typical practices related to: contract negotiation, contractor management, space planning, process management general building maintenance and office management.
  • Technology such as: VMWare, Microsoft 7 and 10; Server 2008/10; Exchange 2010; ERP and CRM software. Hardware: IBM Blade, SAN; HP Switching, SAN; Nimble Storage 
  • Ability to develop cooperative relationships and work effectively with senior management, peers, subordinates, customers, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
  • Proactive with strong problem solving skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
